Horse Fever in Budapest, Magyar Magic

by Kent St. John on May 31, 2008

Much like the palio in Sienna, Italy there was a great race around Hero’s Square this afternoon, just down the road from my MaMaison Andrassy Hotel headquarters. The Hungarians have a long time reputation for equestrian skill, dating from the Magyar culture. The riders were dressed in Hussar-style uniforms and stunning to watch! The National Gallop Festival has drawn crowds from all over Hungary, the perfect afternoon for the horsy set, mount up.
