Having just seen the Christmas lights of Brussels, Belfast and Dublin, I am ready to check out the lights of the Big Apple tomorrow night. It takes me a bit to warm up to the Holidays but thousands of twinkling lights do it. I remember as a kid heading in with my family to Rockefeller Center for the Christmas Show and then a huge dinner in the city. We usually bedded down at the Waldorf and my Mom usually had me decked out like a little wimp. See the Scrooge still pops up! I am sure the decorations of NYC will change that.
