It’s one of those days, one of those rare days when I feel like fixing dinner. Looking for inspiration on the web, I found Mark Bittman’s take on beet salad. No goat cheese, please. Instead, the man suggests an orange-garlic-walnut sauce. Being the carnivore that I am, my addition to the dish was sausage patties, the quick-and-easy breakfast variety. This plate goes well with bread and anything else you want to add.

Bon Appétit!
