Car on Fire on Interstate 91

by Max Hartshorne on February 15, 2009

On my way to Holyoke last night, I saw a strange big blob of light…then I realized it was a car on fire…and behind it was a nearly mile-long line of headlights. I sent this video to CBS 3 News, I am not sure if it ever made it on the air.

This is bizarre. We were on 91 South today at about noon and there was another car on fire. I think we were south of Holyoke at the time. Is there some power surge of unknown origin in the area attacking cars?

Since the police officers were simply holding up traffic and watching the car burn, rather than trying to put it out or check if anyone was inside, my guess is that both cars were part of a film production, even though I couldn’t see any signs of this in the video.
