I took this day trip to Taj Mahal a year back with my two nephews, and it was the first trip to the Taj for my elder one. I still remember his expression when he actually saw the monument. 18 year olds don’t drop their jaws at most of the things these days. But that day his jaws almost dropped to his knees. And yet, the Agra city has earned such a reputation.
Some of the ‘restoration’ work done there is absolutely pathetic, I’m afraid, with poor quality coloured stone being used to replace missing pieces in the naqqaashi.
Priyank, I do not have photoshop with me, though I do crop images a lot with Picasa and sometimes fill light etc too.Ketan, they do not let you take a video camera after a point but no issue with a digital one.Maverick, this was my third trip and can you believe it? I did not had a camera with me the first two times!
I started 'Travel Tales from India' my India Travel Blog in 2005 and it has become an anchor for my travel writing. My blog was once linked at BBC and The Guardian. All my stories published at Gonomad can be viewed from my writer profile page. In December 2010 I featured in a National Geographic Skoda Yeti Video. My blog was voted the best Travel Indiblogin 2006. You can write to me at mridulablog at gmail dot com For advertising queries please check out my advertising page.

Pijush, thank you so much.
Mridula, these are very well captured and nicely composed shots. Your Taj collection is still enviable.
