Who needs a refrigerator when you can cool it in the Ganges Water? I clicked this picture at the end of my rafting from Kaudiyala to Shivpuri in Uttarakhand.

Appu my nephew also said the same but I have never tried Bante wale goli.

Chitra the main story is yet to come.

Jagdeep I am told they are called Banta, never tried it.

I agree Anu.

Lakshmi, no the place was clean.

Ajeya but there they were :D and in April Rishikesh is actually hot at least in the afternoon.

Diffusers thanks for sharing your experience.

This is exactly what we use to do during college trips. Once we went to Robber’s Cave in Dehradun and found dhabawala’s doing the same thing to keep cold drink cool…..

Yes but a correction – if I am not wrong it is bante wale goli mostly available at Chandni Chowk or Delhi streets – correct?
