Seeing Stars from the Hills of L.A.

Spread the love

If you haven’t had any luck meeting a super star in L.A. head to the Griffith Observatory’s renovated and newly-named Samuel Oschin Planetarium. There are plenty of stars to star at here!

The state-of-the-art planetarium sits atop a wooded canyon called Griffith Park.

The climb to the 1,625 feet above sea level summit twists and turns so be careful not to lose your concentration admiring the views and natural habitat. I had to stop several times to photograph the paradise of sage scrub, oaks, flowers, plants, animals and landmark views of the Hollywood sign.

With over 4,210 acres of natural chapparal-covered terrain the parkland gets really busy on weekends. It’s actually the largest municipal park with urban wilderness in the United States.
