Protesting corporate greed and white collar corruption, hundreds of tent-toting advocates descended on lower Manhattan in NYC four weeks ago and are still there today. ‘Occupy Wall Street’ demonstrations by trade unions, environmental activists, student rights groups and more have gained the attention of the national spotlight and many would agree that it’s about time.

Unlike the ’60s, this is a global revolution armed with the internet and the latest technologies. Computer-savvy young people document and broadcast every single second of activity with a live stream website.

The magical possibility of changing a broken capitalist society feels so close when you walk around Zuccotti Park. Between the drumming, the chanting, the meditation, the peaceful yet powerful messages scratched onto white cork board the need for deep changes to our financial system is finally starting to resonate around the world.
