Keep up with me my blog reading buddies! As of 2p today, I’m on the Island of Bonaire in the Lesser Antilles. It was a last minute documentary shoot that was suppose to tie me to Pittsburgh for 5 days but was rerouted to this beautiful “ABC” island, 60 miles short of Venezuela and just as close to Aruba. Got to love when that happens…
At this very second, I’m laying by the hotel pool getting eating up by a swarm of mosquitoes but earlier I was traipsing around town with Bill, my crazy friend that I blogged about months ago who is, quite literally, walking around the world.
My Producer Sylvia has yet to arrive from Miami but in the few shorts hours that I’ve been here I’ve already discovered a fabulous restaurant that serves fresh conch, yes, that’s conch shells and a bar that serves fresh cheeses from Holland. After all, the Island of Bonaire is a special municipality of the Netherlands.
The island is 26 miles long and 7 miles wide and, as you might imagine, everybody knows everybody. It won’t take long before word spreads that Bill is back in town and that’s when the real fun begins!
Follow the documentary adventure throughout the week.
