A variety of unique palms, bamboo, heliconias and ferns awaits you at the Lankester Botanical Gardens near Cartago, Costa Rica.

The garden is operated by students at the University of Costa Rica and provides an open-air classroom center.

Lindsey Jackson, Environmental Health graduate, found the flowering tropical plants, terrestrial bromeliads and extensive orchid display a pollinating wonderland. There are almost 1000 species at the Botanical Garden representative of worldwide orchid flora.
