As a videographer in the travel and tv industry, I want to spread the news about a groundbreaking travel series that debuts on PBS nationwide. It’s a new reality travel series called Getting Away Together that follows diverse groups of families and friends as they vacation together in destinations across America.
You say you don’t like reality tv? Frankly, I don’t blame you but this new series is smart and informative – generating expert takeaway tips, useful links, resources and more.
From lakeside chalets to mountain cabins, beachfront cottages and more, vacation rentals provide an alternative to other lodging options, allowing families and friends to stay in a fully furnished home, condo or villa for their getaways.
Some of the episodes include rentals in Central Oregon, Gulf Shores of Alaska, Hilton Head Island, Garrett County, Md. (Deep Creek Lake area), the Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville area of Tennessee and other lesser-known areas.
Kudos to the Emmy Award-winning PineRidge Film & Television Company for coming up with a reality-based tv show that combines thoughtful entertainment with dynamic travel destinations.
If your PBS affiliate doesn’t run it, you can sample the show by watching full webisodes on their website along with behind-the-scenes peeks, Facebook and Twitter links and more advice.
