Albert Dorfinant, better known as Dorfi, as the signature on the top-left corner of the poster proudly underlines, is not one to bother with the finer aspects of marketing like say, packaging. He has gleefully left the box (or tin) out of the picture, but made sure that the name of the brand, “Young”, and the actual product is pretty much all there. I like the artwork of the tennis player with her red curls and rosy cheeks. She seems to be enjoying herself. Although I imagine the long white skirt is a hindrance to her game.
A gem from the Golden Age (1895 – 1940), this vintage poster can be found at the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum in Newport, Rhode Island.
