That Aimless Walk at Palampur
The day I arrived at Palampur my hosts at the Holiday Home Hotel (it is a home based hotel) asked me, “so what would you do today”? And I told them “nothing” as I was way too tired. True to the form after breakfast I went to sleep, the effect of Avomine was still taking its toll. They literally woke me up for lunch at 2.20 pm! After food I read a book till about 4.00 pm and then told them that I was going out for a walk.
I had no idea where I was going, I just wanted to feel less guilty about all the good food I was eating by walking off some of it! I knew I wanted to walk away from the bazaar on this day (on many other days I happily walked towards the bazaar and gajar ka halwa) and I took the path a little beyond the HPTDC Tea Bud Hotel that says Lohna Hills. A while later I saw the open fields and knew that I was going in the right direction. The sun was getting low so taking pictures was even more beautiful.
From the main road I was not getting the desired angle on the shots. Then I saw someone moving on a narrow lane which was much better for catching the scene. I walked swiftly that way and remained there till the sun went down!
And all these pictures are from that aimless walk. That is what I love about the hills. Walk which ever way you want and you will get something worth remembering! I think I will go back to Palampur but I have to go to Barot first!
