There is a temple within the Sariska Tiger Reserve. It is a Hanuman temple called the Pandupol. In spite of being inside a tiger reserve it is open to public on two days- Tuesdays and Saturdays. As Chhavi and I were at Sariska on a Saturday our jeep went to the temple as well. On Tuesdays and Saturdays private vehicles are allowed on the temple route within the Sariska Tiger Reserve. I don’t think there are many other national parks in India where a private vehicle is allowed but I digress. This story is about men in Rajasthani turbans.
At the temple I spotted three men, all in gorgeous Rajasthani turbans. There were a few women in the group too but it was the turbans that caught my eye. Usually I hesitate a lot to click people. But this was so tempting that I threw all caution to the wind and clicked there pictures. I think, as I was using a zoom the men were quite unaware that I was clicking them. But the way the woman is laughing I wonder if she knew I was clicking her men!
Two of the three men were wearing earrings too. Now I am not a big fan of men with earrings but with the turban I have to say it goes well! It is difficult for me to decide which turban I liked more, the one with solid red color or this multicolored one. I think, in this case, it is a tie!
By the expressions of all the three men I still feel they didn’t know that I was clicking them, even though I was standing only a short distance away and pointing a zoom lens at them! I wonder how would they react if they knew I was clicking them! Or who knows, they knew knew and ignored my camera completely? Anyway it was fun clicking them!
