In NYC for the constant monitering of my throat after cancer treatment isn’t what I call a visit. In that regards I’m in and out but with early appointments I really do not particulary search hotels for checking out. However I do have my standard NYC utility place, the Holiday Inn on 57th, large room and favorite Italian restaurant, Bello’s right around the corner. Even here though I’ve experinced the highs and lows of booking space in the City. This room at $100 for the night is a steal, last trip it was $89! I have actually seen the same room rack rated for $390, supply & demand is killer in NYC. The room is large, clean and for my needs perfect, actually the HI habit started cause of my one time heavy smoker habit. One other HI thing I like is the Priority Club membership, I’ve been Gold for years and must say that it actually works and a 2 PM check out is always a great thing. Many programs I find usless. Besides I use the points for Intercontinental or such. Or even for those times when prices rise like the moon. By now I’m sure you realize the picture isn’t HI but sometimes you get what you need.
