I don’t know about you but I am already craving lobster, done the New England way, on a soft, freshly buttered, warm roll. The daffodils haven’t sprung from the ground yet, it’s pretty cold outside, and the days are still painfully short – yes, I get all that. I really do. But if you consider the kind of winter we had, you can’t blame me for wanting to speed up the seasons. Just a little bit.
Last year, sometime around late March, we had our first taste of The Blue Dog Lobster Roll’s delicious fare in Bethel, at a local do celebrating small business. And that’s where the owner, maker, and server of the rolls, Paul Bertolami, disclosed his everyday location to us – along Rt 7 in Ridgefield , Connecticut. The perfect place to nab hungry commuters.
People standing around, scarfing down hot dogs by the curbside, now that is a common sight. But a lobster roll? That’s way too Maine. Not anymore. Thanks to The Blue Dog.
Now if you will excuse me, I have some driving to do.
