The Early Bird Gets the Chowder
Were you at Troy’s 6th Annual Chowder Fest? If so, I hope you got there early!
By the time I showed up the chefs were scraping the bottom of the barrels. It was only two o’clock in the afternoon with a couple hours left to serve.
The only exception was Troy’s own “Bootlegger’s on Broadway” whose 1-hour queue stretched across the entire length of the parking area. They were treating hungry patrons to a gargantuan portion of philly cheese steak chowder in a bread bowl.
The restaurants that did bring enough samples for the day, not surprising, won the majority of awards.
