Parallel with the Metro-North station in Tarrytown, NY is a massive luxury development project nearing completion. The townhouses and condos are nothing short of a half-a-million dollars and almost all have views of the mighty Hudson river and the Tappan Zee Bridge.
After wrapping early today, my producer and I gave Tarrytown the once-over. We dined alfresco along the main drag (Broadway Ave.), refueled with a latte, walked the shops and then found our way to the Hudson Harbor while the sun was setting.
It appears that the lofty units have sold out faster than a train traveling to Manhattan! I can only imagine how attractive the living can be for a city-dweller looking to own 2200-square feet of space at prices cheaper than a shoe closet in Manhattan.
And, no need for a car when the commute starts from your doorstep and the future holds promise that a River Walkway will eventually extend the entire length of the Hudson.
