It isn’t just that Victoria Solas walked eight miles from Santa Maria de la Paz to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, she prayed for a miracle for her ill daughter. A miracle in itself at her age. It isn’t just that Happy Spruce told me Pueblo tales, fascinating. It isn’t even the fact that on a cheese burger they put red, green or Christmas (mixed) chile. It is all of it combined. Add on the serious beauty of the mountains and the different light that seems clearer than elsewhere along with the amazing work of artisans found everywhere. Mostly it is one amazing blend not found anywhere else.
