Ouch!!! It isn’t the sharks in the water I should have worried about last week but the land variety. I didn’t do due diligence so the fault mine. If you’re reading this you most likely are checking up on a place to stay. If it is the Cottages at East Hampton Point, save yourself some big bucks and pass. I wish I read the reviews that I just did on my return home, all pretty much with the same complaint, not worth the big price.
The cottages themselves are good but here is where you begin to notice that little goes into making the guest feel like the money spent will provide satisfaction. The Jacuzzi tub is of little good if the unit cannot supply enough hot water to make it usable. That sort of sums up the whole place, looks fine but nothing seems to work to simple standard one expects for a high ticket stay. To get online a guest is directed to a bench outside the main office. How much investment would it be to have a computer for use in the lobby? Better yet for $978 a night why not some connection right from your own cottage? The view promoted on the site not found on the property.
The list goes on but I would rather recommend a great seaside cottage stay, The Cottages in Nantucket.
