The Lobstermen of Cape Breton Nova Scotia

Cape Breton Island Nova Scotia: Joe Gillis, a 3rd generation lobsterman, works the ocean off the cliffs of Inverness with his two sons Alex and Daniel. Jim Turner is the newbie, learning the trade. They set 300 traps. At 70lbs each dry, the task of setting, hauling and stacking the traps, and coiling thousands of feet of rope is a mammoth job. The rewards are the hundreds of Nova Scotia Lobsters caught that day. Joe insists they are “the best in the world” Later that night, feasting on a pile of the huge steaming crustaceans, I have to agree.
